COA-CONE Burns Awareness Day at VIIP International School: Shaping Young Minds in Ebonyi State

At VIIP International School, Ebonyi, our team conducted an impactful outreach, reaching 207 participants, including 150 secondary school students, 50 primary school pupils, and seven teachers. The outreach programme focused on burn safety education, risk factors that predispose individuals to burns, common causes, prevention strategies, and first aid management.

Through interactive discussions, demonstrations, and relatable examples, the students gained practical knowledge that could save lives. The teachers expressed their gratitude and commended COA-CONE Burns for organising the outreach. The younger pupils, though playful, grasped the basics of avoiding fire hazards and responding to emergencies.

By equipping both students and teachers, this outreach laid a strong foundation for safety awareness among the participants, preparing them to carry this message forward into their homes and communities.
